Switzerland, the Country with a Fairytale Atmosphere!

It's not difficult to fall in love with Switzerland. 💖 The entire country feels like the pages of a magical storybook 📘 with its breathtaking scenery. For its small size this country packs in lots of things from world class hiking and skiing 🎿 to divine chocolate and fondue. From sparkling lakes and verdant mountains to cosmopolitan opulent cities, Switzerland is as perfect and precise as its Swiss watches. Trains are always punctual, four different languages are spoken here, the cows with their bells are a sight to behold, and those Swiss Alps are absolutely captivating. It's an expensive country but it's safe and immaculate in appearance. Everyone has their favorite region and cantons whether it be the French speaking city of Geneva or Lausanne, the Italian speaking canton with cities like Lugano and Bellinzona, the southeastern Canton of Graubunden to hear and speak the Romansh language and the Swiss-German speaking canton that includes Zurich, Lucerne, Bern, and Interlaken. 

Interlaken is the gateway to the Jungfrau region known for scenic villages like Grindelwald. On my first solo visit to Switzerland, a gentleman in Interlaken encouraged me to go to Grindelwald, it was  such outstanding advice. When I arrived in Grindelwald it was love at first sight and I cherished every moment. I stayed at a cozy pension owned by a friendly couple who owned a sweet dog that hiked with me. This couple made me feel so welcome that I didn't want to leave. Those few days in Grindelwald were an absolute treasure. From the adorable cows grazing in the meadow to the picturesque Alps nestled among a quaint village, I found my paradise.

GRINDELWALD located at the foot of the Elger is my top recommendation in Switzerland. The charming alpine atmosphere with traditional chalets among meadows is lovely. The lively main street in Grindelwald (Dorfstrasse) is where you can purchase delicious local items like bread and cheese and famous Swiss chocolate to take along on your hike. If you're a hiker Grindelwald will reward you with some incredible trails. Grindelwald is accessible by train from Interlaken.

Lauterbrunnen about sixteen kilometers from Grindelwald is highly recommended.
